As I use it daily up hill and lots of stop and go traffic, I chose the ST-1M. It is easy to install but this cam definitely needs tuning and the stock fuelling is not right. After tuning rides smooth, torque curve is also good. There is no sudden power surge.Only mods chimera short ram intake and TSR slip on pipe. Sprocket ratio 15/33.
After fitting a 181cc bore up kit the power was all low and middle in the rev range with nothing but slow rising revs up high. I fitted the Yoshimura Camshaft [ST-1M] to help keep the power building in the high range. After fitting the Yoshimura Camshaft [ST-1M] my GROM felt like it could rev more quickly towards the rev limit. Gone was the (rev) wall that my GROM hit just when you needed to rev out quickly to the limiter. The power still flattens out after 7500rpm but it doesn't just stop like with the standard camshaft. Fitting requires some special tools along with basic skills. Standard GROM camshaft has a engine decompression mechanism attached, the Yoshimura camshaft does not, I have found no difference in engine starting without the engine decompression mechanism. The Yoshimura Camshaft [ST-1M] comes with recommended valve clearances and fuelling settings for std. 125cc engines, I have a piggyback fuel injection controller with AFR sensor. From my experience a reputable high lift cam is a must for bore up kits, the Yoshimura Camshaft [ST-1M] suits my riding style while improving my GROMs starting and smoothing it's idle.View Detail
I replaced Camshaft for me for the first time. I decided to install it arbitrarily by reading the Instruction Manual and ordered it. But there is no particular installation Instruction Manual etc. (Numbers of Setup and Data etc are enclosed) Net found another Instruction Manual of Manufacturer and installed it. Especially it was attached in about 2 hours including adjustment without adjustment. I ran enclosed value for enemag and tried running. The impression is Torque, feeling of acceleration is fleshed after a while. But after all it is 125cc of GROM, there is not a feeling of acceleration that the body brings, but the feeling of running is gone as the dull feeling before it gets lost. In this Parts, I felt fun to play and I felt that the pleasures flew up steadily. Afterward, I can not see it, but the degree of self-satisfaction that YOSHIMURACam is included is very high.View Detail

I added this camshaft to my modified 2000 XR100. Big gain!!! Noticible power increse!! Also it revs higher!! The cam fit perfect. Fits stock cam journal, and it fit my aftermarket journal. Engine mods as follows: FmF pipe, ATC200 Carb, 120CC piston, Shift up Head, Shift up oil shower journal,Yoshi cam. I like riding this Modified XR100 more than large cc bikes. Pure fun. My GROM has 181cc BBK fitted. I replaced my ST-1m(centre of photo) with the POP Yoshimura ST-2M camshaft(R.H. of photo, std.cam L.H. of photo) and reset ECU. The ST-2M idles smoother and feels like the ST-1M at low RPM. At mid range RPM the ST-2M delivers strong smooth power, about the same feel as the ST-1M. At high RPM after 8kRPM the ST-2M keeps pulling and feels strong to near 9kRPM. The St-2M gives my GROM a smooth even power feel throughout the rev range which lasts longer than the ST-1M which feels a bit flat after 8kRPM. I reckon the ST-2M Yoshimura camshaft will make the ST-1M redundant and improving on the ST-2M will be very hard. The ST-2M is a must have for your 181cc BBK GROM. Thanks POP Yoshimura. Fits well and definitely as described to stabilise the crankshaft. It even comes with a gasket.Instructions are in Japanese but the it is accurate and easy to follow as with every Takegawa products. Will with only with stock inspection cover. If English instructions is required you can find it on the Takegawa website. But nothing phone android translator.View Detail
It's light and not too loud. A nice low rumble compared to stock. Installation wise is easy even with the Japanese instructions. The pictures are easy enough to follow.View Detail
