Genuine Yamaha Front Brake Pad Kit for YZF-R1 2002

These were another part that was for a smaller bike I got in from a customer. This time it is the rear brake pads for the YZF-R6 2001 as the old ones were well beyond their usage. I did not change the rear pads on the last service as they were perfectly good and had a lot of use still in them. Usually on this bike, the front need changing twice as often as the rear anyway. Finding the right ones was easy but checking on Yamaha schematics and then searching for this part number on Webike YZF-R6 model. Luckily, they had a set in their warehouse and so added to my order. EMS shipped my order and all arrived in perfect condition in 5 days from being shipped. Everything was well padded out in the box so there was no damage. These pads are Yamaha pads and do last quite a while, probably longer than these should have as the customer clearly prefers the front brake to the rear. The pad material is even and looks pretty tasty for a small bike. Perhaps not sintered but they do have some heavy compound in them. I have not had the pleasure of this Fino before as it is a new customer but the front pads were not good and had be run with a contaminant between the disc and the pad which made these pads not perform how they should. Good old British weather for you and the grit used. No matter, the pads were easy to find witht eh Yamaha schematics. Webike had these in stock and the price was really competitive. A fair bit cheaper than my locally dealer could match. With some other parts in my order, all were shipped with EMS and arrived in 5 days. The box was packaged really well and nothing got any damage. These pads are a little odd looking but as they are Yamaha ones, I have no issue in putting my faith in them. If I did not like the quality of some parts, I would not fit them. Needed new front a back brake pads and wanted to keep genuine Yamaha ones. Very cheap for the brake pads. They are good and last a long while. Pads are great, look brilliant. Easy to fit them and ready to ride quickly. They are new so need to break in but very happy to have bought genuine.View Detail

This was the second part of the pad change on this old girl, FZ1 2010 bike. As before, I found the correct pads by using the help pages from Webike and then cross referencing Yamaha schematics. Also, checking for superseded parts if there are any. On this occasion, this was the most up to date pad for the bike. The cost of the pads was really good and slightly better than could be sourced locally. I did have a few other sets of pads for other bikes in my order and this meant the shipping cost was lower than if you purchased say one set. Anyway, my order arrived in 5 days from being shipped. EMS was my chosen courier and everything was packed really well. The rear pads for this FZ1 are not particularly special and although the bikes do catch some speed, there are not many who use the rear brake to it's potential. They are really good brake pads for this bike anyway, they had just worn down more than I would have liked so this is why we changed them. Very happy with the final result, great work Webike. I was changing my exhaust and the muffler gaskets that were already there had suffered too much damage to reuse. Not such a problem as I know I can source these pretty easily. Finding the correct part number was fairly straight forward, I used Webike tools in the help section and cross referenced for my own peace of mind on Kawasaki schematics. The cost from Webike was brilliant value and a little better than I could source locally. With a few other items in my order, I had them all shipped using EMS as they just do the job right. Combining items in my order also saved a bit of money on the shipping too. Bonus. My order arrived in 5 days from initial shipping from Webike warehouse. Very good timeframe from Japan to the UK. The order was packaged really well and any smaller parts were well wrapped and surrounded by bubble wrap. The gasket itself came in a Kawasaki packet and well packed. This is a really cool looking gasket with 2 types of material. I believe these also fit a few other models apart from the Z900. Wow, this bike has seen a lot of miles and is still going really well but there are some parts that you really do need to keep an eye and this is the piston rings that need replacing. Not such a massive job, but it is best to sort the issues out before they become a big problem. The piston rings were not too difficult to find when you use the schematics sections for this model and year of bike. This piston rings were really good value and better in price than my local Yamaha dealer could beat. I had a few parts for this rebuild to ship so got them all together. I used EMS and all arrived in perfect condition in 5 days from shipping. The piston rings arrived in each individual little Yamaha box and were all fully in tact as I expected. The piston rings were all within spec and were identical so there were never going to be any issues with fitting. I did however get a couple of spares as I will be seeing this bike again in the future. The fitting was not hard, it is the rest of the rebuild that was a pain to do. Got it done pretty easily and was happy with the return of good compression to that cylinder. Now the bike runs a lot better. This cracking bike came in with a small scratch on one of my decals to the rear tail of the bike so decided it was about time to get that changed for my bike to look new again. Finding the correct graphic was not particularly hard using the Kawasaki Parts Catalogue. The shipping was good due to the fact I already had other items in my order. From ordering to being delivered was 7 days including a weekend and Webike waiting for the stock to arrive at their warehouse so not bad at all. Upon delivery all the items were very well packaged. I was a little worried that with this decal being flat that there may be issues with it being folded. Nope, this was not the case. It was nestled neatly in the bottom of the box, surrounded by padding. The decal itself looks awesome on and the quality was second to none. I had forgotten about some of the smaller parts to refit the rear arm on the MT09 and this included a few collars and bolts etc. Time to order all of those to help the project along. Finding the right collar was pretty easy as I had already seen the schematics for the rear arm section. These collars are small and yes, you could possible reuse the old parts but as this did not have any anyway, I needed to purchase them. For this project I needed just one so added to my basket and a few other small parts. I had them all shipped together which would save a little on shipping costs too. Every little helps you know. EMS had my delivery made within 5 days from being shipped which you cannot argue with. These small collars and some of the bolts were inside a bubble wrap envelope to keep them safe and also to stop them from being lost etc. The packaging was a simple Yamaha bag but that was fine. The collars are not really much to look at but they are very well made and are exact to the specifications needed for the job in hand. Once fitted I will update my review. One happy customer. This bike came in with a bent gear shift lever due to a small accident. It was still functional but did not look great. I did try and straighten it but it still looked bad so a new one was the way to go. As this is a pretty new bike, the parts are readily available and finding the right lever for this bike was easy using the Honda schematics. The price from Webike was really good and even with the shipping cost, it was still cheaper than buying locally. With a couple of other parts on order, I had all them shipped using EMS who are just quick at delivering. In 5 days, my order arrived. All very well packaged and in tact. The gear shift lever did come in the Honda packet and was protected with bubble wrap too. The finish of the lever was really smooth and the satin black paint really finished off the look. The lever is a very strong one but does have a tendency to bend if you have a small low side which is what happened here. Not a problem, all fitted and the bike looks a lot better for it.
